The Litz(R) Exam for Personal Injury
Developed in conjunction with the world-famous UFC champion, Roy Nelson “Big Country”, a native of Las Vegas, the Litz exam developed in concert with Dr. David Malitz, a board-certified Eye MD, it is designed to be a comprehensive intake exam for ALL patients involved in a personal injury involving trauma to the head.
Have you ever wondered why after any blow to the head in any sport, an athlete is checked by the sideline coach or medical personal for pupillary reactions or eye movements? This is because the eyes are a very sensitive indicator of mild, moderate, or severe traumatic brain injury. As a direct extension of the brain and controlled by 4 cranial nerves and a network of nerve connections, the eye is a very sensitive indicator of objective damage to the Central Nervous System.
If you have been injured, ask your primary care practitioner, attorney or chiropractor or pain management doctor to refer you for a comprehensive evaluation by a licensed and specially trained eye care practitioner skilled in the administration and interpretation of tests designed to image and assess the patient for clinically significant injuries or clear them of any serious short term or long term damage.
If you have blurred vision, double vision, poor near vision, headaches, and fluctuation in your vision you may have Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI.
