Trifocal IOL
We are fortunate to now have FDA-approved options for vision correction. The PanOptix (R) by Alcon is the first FDA approved intaocular lens approved for vision correction at far, near and intermediate. Of note the lens has options to correct a range of astigmatism as well!
The newest lens designed to correct the full range of vision it the Synergy (R) by Johnson and Johnson. This lens has been approved by the FDA as well.
We have extensive experience with both of these lenses as well as the Crystalens, Trulign, Tecnis Multifocal, Restor and others.
Johnson and Johnson describes the lens as a “Breakthrough Innovation”
characterizing the lens as “Our most advanced TECNIS® IOL yet, going beyond the limits of current trifocals.”
The Synergy® IOL has the
- Widest* range of continuous vision** with best near*,1-5
- Superior image contrast† day and night, delivering vision that patients can trust3
- Excellent patient outcomes so they can enjoy the moments that matter most*,†,‡,6
These claims are well-substantiated and this lens is now our preferred technology.
