September 17, 1998 Dear Dr. Buzard, Since my surgery on the 4th of September, my vision has been almost completely restored. I wanted to write this letter to express my sincere appreciation to you and your staff for a job well done. The results of the operation have been magnificent. 1 I hope that you will pass this letter on to the relatives of the donor, as I am extremely grateful for their willingness to donate. There are no wards to describe how much this means to me. Without this donor, I may have had to wait much longer, and the results may not have been as successful. Before the surgery, I could only tell day from night, but now my vision is almost completely restored. I realize that there is still a chance of rejection or infection, but I am very optimistic. I usually start my day at about 1O:OO or 11 :OO in the morning, and: work until 2:OO or 3:00 the following morning, It makes for a long day when you have to keep a 24 hour a day business ‘operating, but I enjoy the work. I have been in this business all of my life. I moved to Nevada in the early 1950’s, and I have enjoyed living here. However, my outlook on life, and work is much better since the restoration of my vision. If any member of the family would like to contact me, I would be happy to answer any questions that they might have. ![]() |
